- MEET THE FOUNDER -
Nadiyah Bradshaw-Spencer comes from a long line of quilters and knitters, so it’s no surprise that she would end up in textiles in some form. Confident and outspoken, Nadiyah graduated from Spelman College with a degree in English in 1999, accomplishing a lifetime goal she set for herself at merely 13. The others were to live in California (check!) and to go on safari in Kenya (double check!).
Nadiyah started her career in fashion in the prestigious GAP Training Program where she learned and worked across every major area from concept to consumer. With this invaluable start, Nadiyah took on various roles with increasing responsibility at other companies, including Ecko Unlimited, Live Mechanics, Aeropostale, Edun, Suno, Phelan and Mara Hoffman.
Equipped with a diverse range of fashion industry experience that spans a variety of brands, aesthetics, company size, and consumer demographics, Nadiyah connected her eye for quality with her skills in sourcing, production, relationship building, and negotiation to start her own boutique fashion advisory Bradshaw Consulting Group, taking on the motto "Better Clothing Globally." Her company mission is simply to help fashion start-ups, get started. She uses her many fabric mill and manufacturing partners to give new brands a chance through lowered minimums and costs. In Nadiyah's words, “Production should be humane. I want to make beautiful things, in a beautiful way, with beautiful people. “

Designer of the Month - Meet PIROUETTE
Pirouette is on a mission to save women time. We're conceiving ways to make that happen stylishly and seamlessly.
When one of our founders decided she was going to create the perfect day-to-night dress, she had one thing in mind: her husband's button-down shirts. Impeccably constructed, wrinkle-resistant, and available in a wide range of sizes and colors, they served as the initial inspiration for Pirouette's first shirtdress. This initial piece was designed to withstand the test of time both stylistically and technically - no small feat considering our audience of busy women who wear multiple hats in one day.
